Height-~1-1/8” Thickness- ~7/8” Diameter- ~1-7/8” over drum size (ex. 14” hoops =15-7/8” outer diameter) Notes- Hoops cover drum heads metal collar profile. Tension rod holes measure ~ 1” over drums diameter across hoop. The above sizes may vary with customization.
Our THICK-PLY hoops are constructed from plies of heat bent, hand cut lumber. These exotic hoops are available with contrasting woods from ply to ply creating stripes which are both striking in appearance and allow for a highly unique customized addition to your drum. The available woods for Thick-Ply hoops are currently kept to the more easily bent species like Maple, walnut, Oak, Ash, and Bubinga among a few others depending on the specific situation. Note-The harder exotic woods are reserved for our Segmented style hoops, which are available in most any wood you can imagine. (Of course, if you prefer the solid grain look that ply type hoops offer over the block look of segmented, an outer ply of veneer can be added to the outside of our segmented hoops, so not to fear, you shall be taken care of) Stellar Thick Ply hoops are custom drilled for tension rods to the lug count of your drum (no hoop claws are needed) and will work with standard sized lugs, so retro fitting to your current drum kit is an easy event. Snare drum hoops are notched out to alleviate any strainer issues, as well as floor tom hoop notching to allow the legs to pass the bottom hoop (this may require measurements from your drums).
